Mobile Pops Presents “An Island Extravaganza”

Come on down to the Island on Saturday October 6 and enjoy a FREE concert by the Mobile Pops Band.  The theme for the night is Island Extravaganza so dig out that old Hawaiian shirt and grass skirt.

The concert begins promptly at 6PM so come early to the Water Tower at the “T”.  Don’t forget your lawn chairs or blankets.  In fact, things are so relaxed down here we don’t mind if you throw a picnic or bring old Fido along as the concert is pet-friendly.

The Mobile Pops Band was established by ordinance on April 5th 1977. The band grew out of the Spirit of Mobile Marching 200, an organization that helped celebrate th e Bicentennial of 1976.  The “Pops” has been recognized by the City of Mobile on several occasions for their contributions to the arts and to the Mobile community.
