Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament a time for families to celebrate together

If the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo’s schedule results in a three-day competitive grind, the Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament is designed to be a one-day celebration of family.

“The kids tournament is a great opportunity for parents to take their child fishing and fishing is something everyone involved can take with them for the rest of their lives,” 78th ADSFR President Todd Bishop said.

“Besides the basics of catching fish, it gives parents the opportunity to teach their kids about sportsmanship and safety on the water. I think it’s also important that they can show their children what we have here and teach them how to responsibly enjoy what we have here.”
