Thompson EDGE Jeremiah Alexander, the state’s No. 1 main rookie, highlights a talented Alabama roster for the 35th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.

Alexander is one of 15 players on the list already engaged in SEC schools.

The game is scheduled for December 11 at Carlisle HH Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

“We thank the selection committee for their efforts in selecting this year’s group,” said Brandon Dean, principal of the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association (AHSADCA) Wednesday. “They have gone to great lengths to ensure that every class and district in the AHSAA is represented in the selections. We believe we have assembled a group of student-athletes who will be outstanding representatives of their respective schools, communities and AHSAA. We can’t wait to get to Hattiesburg and do our best.

Alexander, also the No. 1 player on AL.com’s top senior rookie A list, is one of Alabama’s four entries on the list. He is joined by Geneva County RB Emmanuel Henderson, Williamson LB Robert Woodyard and Calera WR Kobe Prentice.

There are five current Auburn commits on the list. They are Auburn High LB Powell Gordon and OL Drew Bobo, Hewitt-Trussville WR Omari Kelly, Lanett DL Caden Story and Fort Payne kicker Alex McPherson.

Other players on the list entering SEC schools include Faith Academy LB Shemar James (Florida), Oxford DB Miguel Mitchell (Vanderbilt), Opelika DB Jarell Stinson (Ole Miss), Montgomery Catholic DB Jourdan Thomas (Mississippi State) and St. Paul’s OL Lucas Taylor (State of Mississippi).

Quarterbacks are Thompson QB and North Carolina engage Conner Harrell and Bennett Meredith from Hoover. The back room will feature Braylon McReynolds of McGill-Toolen and Kierstan Rogers of Theodore in addition to Henderson. The wide receivers, along with Kelly and Prentice, are Jarel Williams of Saraland, West Virginia, De’Andre Coleman of Hueytown and Marquarious White of Clay-Chalkville, Tennessee.

The list also includes some of the state’s top unengaged prospects at Pike Road DL Khurtiss Perry, Auburn OL Eston Harris and Thompson DB Tre’Quon Fegans, who disengaged from Miami this week.

Other players entering the Power 5 programs at this point include Madison Academy’s Deuce Spurlock (Michigan), Saraland DL Trevon McAlpine (TCU), LaFayette OL Antavious Woody (Florida State) and Hewitt-Trussville DL Justice Finkley ( Texas).

Alabama’s head coach is Adrian Abrams of Minor High School.

Alabama defeated Mississippi on December 19-7. The series began in 1988 with Alabama winning three overtime 24-21. Saturday’s 34th game improved Alabama’s record to 23-11 overall. Mississippi has won all three games played in Mississippi (2015, 2017 and 2019). Alabama has a 23-8 advantage in all games played in Alabama.
