ulaski, Tennessee – The No.4 University of Tennessee Firehawks (20-1) took advantage of a big first half to fly over the No.25 SCAD Bees (13-7-1) 6-1 on Saturday .

The Firehawks wowed the huge crowd at Grissom Pitch with five quick goals. At the 9th minute, Estelle Badoedana Ekada put UTS in front of the audience by Keito Ido. Ekada’s shot hit the left post and bounced into the net behind SCAD goalie Paige Hickman. At the 15th minute, Yuki watari beat Hickman on Ekada’s well-placed cross. Ido scored on the double assist from Mackenzie stroebel and Adisa amang in the 21st minute. Ekada and Ido teamed up again for UTS’s fourth goal in the 30th minute. In the 38th minute, Amang cashed in a one-on-one opportunity against Hickman with a long pass from Lily fisk. UTS held a considerable 17-5 advantage in the first half.

In the second half, Ekada raised his brace in the first half to a hat trick in the 52nd minute thanks to Amang’s pass. Bees would break goose egg when Sydney Chura sneak a shot from the keeper Gabby Kennedy. SCAD will have the advantage of the shots in the second half 7-6. Kennedy would record five saves on six shots on goal.

“Winning 6-1 against a quality and well-trained SCAD team, ranked 25th in the country, says a lot about our offensive threat,” commented coach Will Austin. “SCAD have two excellent attackers and I thank our defenders for eliminating them, it was not an easy task. We showed great teamwork today as a team to get the job done while playing without an All-American three times. We can’t wait to get to Orange Beach and take part in another National Tournament Finals venue! Thank you very much to our amazing crowd this afternoon, they were very helpful !!”
