Dry weather in Alabama continues, cooler temperatures this weekend

Temperatures will be cooler than average in central Alabama through the weekend. Dry weather continues into early next week. Get the latest predictions in the video above. Northwest winds will keep the weather dry and cool in central Alabama through the weekend. Morning lows are sure to be colder with some of the northern regions dropping into the 30s; especially on Sunday morning. Scattered frost will be possible in these colder locations. Enjoy sunshine and pleasantly cool temperatures on Saturday and Sunday with average highs of 5 to 10 degrees below normal. BEACH WEATHER If you’re heading to the Gulf Coast for Spring Break, the weather couldn’t be better. Sunny and dry with a gradual warming trend until Tuesday of next week. A chance for showers and storms will arrive by the middle of the week. The water is a bit chilly with a current water temperature of 66 degrees off Dauphin Island Pier. It’s definitely too cold for me! 7 DAY FORECASTTemperatures will begin to warm on Monday. Highs are climbing into the 80s by the time we hit Tuesday, with no rain expected. The next chance of rain comes late Wednesday night into Thursday with a cold front. A line of severe thunderstorms will likely move through central Alabama during this time, but it’s too early to tell if there will be a threat of severe weather. The weekend forecast is looking really good! Northwest winds will keep the weather dry and cool in central Alabama through the weekend.
