MOBILE COUNTY, Alabama (WKRG) – A family desperate for answers has increased the reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of Marcus Chestang, 33.

Chestang has been missing since May 28 and his family has been looking for him ever since. He was last seen on security camera footage at the Barn Nightclub on Highway 45 in Mobile County, near Prichard. The Mobile County Sheriff‘s Office says his phone rang outside the bar, but that’s the only evidence.

Brian Keevan, one of Chestang’s relatives, says it has been difficult to have so few clues over the past four months. “We would just like to put this to bed and find out where he is or what happened to him.”

The family initially offered a reward of $ 10,000, but have now increased it to $ 25,000 in the hopes that this will spark new interest in the case.

Keevan said no one had had contact with him since May 28. He said Chestang called his grandmother several times a week for the past 20 years, and his grandmother has not heard from him since the day she went missing. Due to this lack of communication within the family, they think Chestang is probably dead, but they still want to know where he is and what happened.

“It’s just that he’s out of his pattern…” Keevan said.

This need for family closure triggered this increased reward of $ 25,000.

“Someone knows something. We’re just begging these people, please, to help us locate him and help this family. They cry very loudly, ”Keevan said.

If you know anything about Marcus Chestang’s disappearance, please speak up. You can remain anonymous. He has two tattoos; one from a marijuana leaf and one from an Alabama A. Call 251-574-8633 or go to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Crime Advice page at www.mobileso.com/crimetips.
