Freedom Fest scheduled for October 9 at The Wharf
(OBA®) – Orange Beach, AL – The Town of Orange Beach is delighted to announce the first-ever Freedom Fest, a fun artistic weekend, to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 9 at The Wharf .
The event will feature art, local music and food vendors. With the cancellation of the National Shrimp Festival, Mayor Tony Kennon wanted the city to come together and try to provide a venue for the artists and guests who will still be in town this second weekend in October.
“I am happy to report that due to our City Council, the great people of the City of Orange Beach, the City employees and the accommodating staff at The Wharf, this event will take place,” said the Mayor Kennon. “As I said on Friday, people have the right to choose what they want to attend and to decide what risks they are willing to take, especially for an outdoor event like this.”
The event will take place at the west end of The Wharf, next to the cinema. This will be the same location as the Seafood Fest vendors in February and will accommodate up to 100 vendor spaces.
Artists already registered for Shrimp Fest are invited to participate in this event and will have priority. For more supplier information, email Jeanne Fitzgibbons at [email protected].
That same evening will include the Brooks & Dunn concert at The Wharf and the Addams Family Musical Dinner Theater at 7 p.m. at the Orange Beach Event Center.
