Dick’s Last Resort and Cats Meow have together leased 16,000 square feet of retail space on Main Street at The Wharf in Orange Beach, and plan to open by Memorial Day on May 22, according to Jeff Barnes and Steadman Bethea of Stirling Properties, which represented the owner. John Aiello and Aaron Petree of Strategic Retail Advisors worked for the tenants. Dick’s Last Resort is a restaurant and bar chain known for its rowdy atmosphere and intentionally obnoxious staff. Cats Meow is based in New Orleans and has a world famous karaoke bar.
An out-of-state investor paid $1.525 million for a 7,250-square-foot retail building at 7899 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile, according to Angie McArthur of Stirling Properties, who handled the transaction. The fully leased building is occupied by Loda Bier Garten and PS Taco Company.
A company based in Baton Rouge, LA. paid $325,000 for 4.5 acres at 6570 Theodore Dawes Road in Theodore, and plans to build an equipment rental facility on the land, according to Pratt Thomas of Merrill P.
