Mobile police are investigating a homicide on rue Dauphin

On June 9, 2021, at 2:25 p.m., the mobile police service responded to the apartments in southern Dauphin for a report of a broken-down man. Upon arrival, officers found Laquintae Carroll on 6/12/1999 inside his apartment with apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives have responded to begin their investigation, and more information may be released as it becomes available. If anyone has any information about this incident, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.

Today Deonte Hughes 09/30/1995 went to police headquarters and was charged with murder.
