Nick Clark, Daphne: Clark rushed 18 times for 151 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Trojans won their first game of the season, beating Alma Bryant 25-0.
Caden Creel, Fairhope: Creel was 20 of 30 for 324 yards and 2 touchdowns in Fairhope’s 43-39 win over Choctawhatchee, Fla. He also rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
Jake Godfrey, Spanish Fort: The UAB commit rushed for 195 yards on 19 carries and caught an assist for a touchdown in the Toros’ home win. Godfrey finished with 3 total touchdowns.
Jarius Houston, Blount: Houston returned a pair of punts for touchdowns, covering 68 and 70 yards as the Leopards rallied at Robertsdale. He also had 8 carries for 71 yards.
Brayden Jenkins, Theodore: Jenkins rushed for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 16 carries as the Bobcats pulled away from Murphy in the second half.
Keshun Johnson, Mary G. Montgomery: Johnson rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and caught six passes for 75 yards and 2 touchdowns in an overtime loss to Foley.
Chris Pearson, Orange Beach: The UAB commitment rushed for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns on 9 carries as the Makos beat Jackson. He also blocked a field goal and ran it for a TD and had 5 tackles and a sack on defense.
Michael Towner, Vigor: Towner, a UAB clerk, had 8 tackles, 3 TFLs and 2 sacks in Wolves’ win at Citronelle. He also scored on a 1-yard run.
Reece Tynes, Foley: Tynes threw 6 touchdown passes as the Lions beat Mary G. Montgomery 43-42 in overtime. He was 26 of 42 total for 334 yards. He was intercepted once.
Ryan Williams, Saraland: Williams, a wide receiver, carried out of the Wildcat lineup 4 times, rushing for 103 yards and 3 touchdowns in a win over St. Paul’s. He scored on a 71-yard rush on the Spartans’ first play. He also caught 3 passes for 29 yards and another TD.
