Saraland Keeps Winning & WVU WR Commits Jarel Williams Keeps Producing

As if a four-game winning streak after starting 0-2 couldn’t be better for high school Saraland, a huge upset win over Spanish high school ranked No.1 on the road took the Spartans to 5-2 and a return to basics. victory over Gulf Shores High School moved them to 6-2.
The key factor for Saraland? The three-star receiver for West Virginia hires Jarel Williams.
With 11 catches for 157 yards and two touchdowns, Williams helped Saraland claim a 28-16 victory over one of Alabama’s top teams. For his efforts, he was named WKRG Player of the Week.

Against Gulf Shores the following week, Williams didn’t have as much of an impact in the air, only three catches for 12 yards and two catches for seven yards, but he opened the game with a kickoff return touchdown. in which he ran the length of the field.

In eight games this season, Williams has caught 39 balls for 525 yards and seven touchdowns, totaling 13.5 yards per reception and about 66 yards in the air per game. He also made an impact in the second leg this season, showing his versatility for a team that warms up at the right time.
With two games left on the regular schedule of reasons, Saraland is warming up in anticipation of a playoff race this year. And once the season is over, Williams will compete for the Alabama team in the annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game on Dec. 11 at the University of Southern Mississippi.
