Mobile, Alabama (WALA) – With a serious weather threat looming in the next 24 hours, there are some things people can do to protect themselves and their property, especially if they have Halloween decorations in them. outdoors.

High winds are one of the biggest concerns, and with five days of Halloween flying decorations are a concern.

Some remember Hurricane Zeta that hit around this time last year. With the threat of tomorrow, they are less worried.

“We were hit by hurricanes during Halloween last year, which knocked over some of this stuff,” said Henley Kelly. “We had to adapt on the fly.”

But it’s not just Halloween decorations. Garbage cans, patio furniture, potted plants, and even trampolines could be knocked over.

“Now that we know about the storm, we’re going to bring some of the things on the pitch that will be windy, like the flag,” said Marlena Kelley.

No matter what the weather is, people always promise to be up for some tricks or treats.

“Halloween is very popular on our street,” Kelly said. “They’re actually blocking the next three streets, and we’ve got a bunch of kids coming in. Whatever happens we’ll put it back in place and make sure it’s ready for Halloween.”

There is also a high risk of tearing current until Friday night.
