According to a statement from ShareSafe Solutions, the app is available free to all organizations and healthcare professionals across Alabama.

ShareSafe Response Network was developed in Mobile and co-led by Dr. Peter Pronovost, former adviser to the US Department of Health and Human Services and the World Health Organization.

“As the healthcare community gains more experience in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, the evidence-based protocols continue to evolve … it is essential to put the latest information in the hands of those who are on the front line, ”said Pronovost. “I congratulate Governor Ivey and the State of Alabama for being the first to take this innovative step by uniting their healthcare organization into one network.

“I can see this mobile infrastructure providing a backbone for the deployment of future initiatives beyond COVID-19 that will result in improved quality of care for the citizens of Alabama,” Pronovost concluded.
