Tacky Jacks Gulf Shores presents the ninth Summer of Fun
If you’re looking for a fun afternoon this summer, look no further than Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores. The ninth edition Summer of fun The series will include family events Tuesday through Thursday starting June 1. Online reservations are required. Hands on habitat is a series of fun and educational nature activities brought to you by Gulf State Park Nature Center, Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Gulf State Park Learning Campus, Orange Beach Wildlife Center, Alabama Audubon, Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism and Sustainability and Clean Horizons. Children and adults can learn more about our ecosystem and interact with the animals that live here with us. Participation in the event is free and is open to all ages from 11:00 a.m. to noon (arrive 15 minutes in advance). Online RSVP required.
Art al Fresco “A convenient lunch and learn for hungry artists of all ages”
Create different works of art and crafts every Wednesday this summer. Projects include tie-dye shirts, Hurricane Sally wood edge painting, shell and lionfish jewelry, plastic pollution mosaic, creating with paint or clay, learning to sculpt with sand with professionals from Sand Castle University and Ductstravaganza with the finalists of “Duck Tape Stuck at Prom”. All ages eat lunch and learn every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon (arrive 15 minutes early) Includes a $ 10 lunch gift card, fee: depends on the project. Online RSVP required.
Tacky Jacks Beach Games it’s a little friendly competition. Kids ages 6 to 12 compete against each other every Thursday this summer in games, challenges and more. All attendees receive a free Tacky Jacks lunch, prizes and can be on TV. Parents can participate in a friendly water balloon dodge game for prizes. The event is free for children aged 6 to 12 every Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon (arrive 15 minutes in advance). Online RSVP required.
